Happy Halloween!

I live in Australia, where we do not get to enjoy the thrill of dressing up in white curtains, knocking on stranger’s door and eating things like “Candy Corn” and “Candied Apple”

So naturally this holiday is always a lot of fun for me, since I cannot celebrate IRL ::sadface::

Here is what is in store for us:

Visiting Inns around Azeroth, Outland and Northrend will yield you candy and gold! You can visit each candy bucket once, and will receive, from each one, approx. 6 gold and a “handful of candy”, A container which holds some yummy treats.

Trick Or Treat! – This is what It is all about. Visiting a innkeeper once an hour will give you the chance of receiving a Treat bag full of goodies, or get turned into..Something.. Like Worms and Ghosts.

- Sinister Squashling Another pet for your collection! Rare drop from the Headless Horseman, a Daily in the SM Graveyard, Alternatively from the Treat bag from Innkeepers

- Soothing Spearmint Candy, Pyroblast Cinnamon Ball, G.N.E.R.D.S. Wicked buff food, each can be found in Treat Bags or Handful Of Candy. All these foods stack with each other, and also with your flasks and normal food buff food/feasts, Making this a perfect addition to your raid consumables. The buff they give also stacks to 4, so make sure you max it out.

- Rickety Magic Broom, Flying Broom Fun Brooms to whizz around in! 2 types, both scale with your skill, so if you have Flying trained yours will indeed lift off the ground in Outland and Northrend. Unfortunately these do disappear after the holiday.

Happy Holidays!

A Tribute to Insanity Beasted

So this was my 2nd week in 10 man Trial of the Grand Crusade. Last time we made it to the cache with 25 attempts left and this week…

50 Attempts left? Oh yeah!

Afew deaths dotted around each fight, but no wipes and lots of shaky hands at the end of Anub’s defeat! Our makeup was DK and Paladin tanks, Shaman, Paladin and Druid healers, and DPS we had a Moonkin, two Rogues, an Arcane Mage and a Shadowpriest.

So what dropped? 4 Trophies of the Crusade, a Caster mace, a cute lil’ pony mount, and a Sexy caster cloak which I was lucky enough to snag!

Shawl of Fervent Crusader, Heartcrusher, Swift Alliance Steed, Swift Alliance Steed x4

Grats to my raid for a “Tribute to Insanity”

Anyone else been lucky enough to snag this ach? Celebrate with me!

Gemming Your Tree

Before you decide to cut/buy some pretty gems for your tree, you need to figure out which stats are most important. Or read this post. Whatever :P So lets check out whats up there!

Spellpower This is your bread and butter. This stat makes the world go round, etc etc. Spellpower gives you bonus healing on all your casted spells and hot's, etc, so the higher this is, the more powerful our heals are going to be. 1st priority.

Spirit – This is a way us trees will regen our mana. Roughly calculated 6 spirit = 1 MP5. You will find items and gems will give you more regen via MP5 then the Spirit alternative, However we have talents to increase our spirit by up to 15%, and raid buffs such as kings will also increase this amount, making it more rewarding the more you stack it. In raid gear this should be your 2nd priority.

Haste – Feel free to disagree with me here, as I know a lot of extremely strong druids that place this stat under Intellect. EJ gossip shows that with our 3/3 celestial focus and 5/5 gift of the Earthmother, our haste cap has crept up to a whopping 541. I place this stat as 3rd as It decreases the cast time of all our casted spells, and helps us toward the 1 second GCD we strive so hard to obtain.

Intellect Ok so if you decided haste is more important to you then this is going to be your 3rd. Intellect will increase your mana pool giving you more mana to burn through during boss fights.

Critical Rating – Crit allows our casted spells and Lifebloom blooms to Crit! This includes your Nourish, Healing Touch, Lifebloom Bloom and the casted part of Regrowth. Our Tier gear always comes with it so you will get this naturally, I wouldn’t bother gearing towards it though cause chances are you would lose haste to do so.

So now that we have our list, what gems should go where? Here is my personal top 3 for each color.

Red: [Runed Cardinal Ruby] , [Reckless Ametrine] , [Runed Scarlet Ruby]

Yellow: [Reckless Ametrine] , [Luminous Ametrine] , [Reckless Monarch Topaz]

Blue: [Purified Dreadstone] , [Royal Dreadstone] , [Purified Twilight Opal]
